HOLDS (Humanitarian Operations, Logistics, Development & Security) Foundation is a charitable organisation based in the UK. Founded in March 2017, HOLDS aims to assess and understand humanitarian responses for refugees and other victims of war and catastrophe, and identify where improvements by collaboration and innovation can be made. HOLDS Foundation is committed to advocating fair and practical pro-human rights policy, and also fostering coordinated IGO, NGO, and government humnanitarian responses.
Our work aims to cover the entirety of the refugee experience from displacement to integration. We visualise refugee issues as three “phases of displacement”:
The phases differ based on the increasing complexity of refugees’ requirements in each phase, with the final Resolution phase being the most complex. Our goal is to assist existing efforts by offering consultation or developing projects/services, and to build the concept of a “Model Refugee Response” to provide future refugees with immediate and ideal assistance in all phases of displacement.
